COUTURE Announces Vespa Giveaway at 2014 Event
nextWAVE Offers Attendees the most Stylish Traffic Accessory
New York, NY—COUTURE announces today the giveaway of the limited edition, 946 Vespa at COUTURE this year. To be staged in the nextWAVE ballroom, La Tache, the 2014 scooter is valued at nearly $10,000 and is touted as the most stylish way of “nipping through traffic.” The contest is open to all attendees at COUTURE , including both retailers and editors. Entry forms will be available at registration and throughout the show floor and can be submitted in nextWave, with the winner announced at the COUTURE Design Awards Saturday evening.
“We wanted to come up with a creative way to drive traffic to nextWAVE and to generate some added enthusiasm at the show in general,” explained Gannon Brousseau, COUTURE’s Show Director. “This particular, limited edition Vespa is a perfect fit for our event—it’s both classic and innovative with an emphasis on design.”
With its swooping lines and raised, red-leather saddle, the 946 is a comfortable ride for two. The photographer who shot the ad campaign for the 946, Pasquale Abbattista, who has worked with the world’s most important fashion magazines and for luxury brands such as Missoni, said that he fell in love with it at first sight. When asked who he thinks the unique design will appeal to he posited, “Someone who has nothing to prove, an elegant intellectual who doesn’t have to show off his muscles.”
The giveaway will also include a custom-created matching helmet and COUTURE will incur all expenses in shipping the Vespa to the lucky winner.
